Trail Ride
Seventy-eight horse lovers from eighteen different area towns unloaded
their mounts to head out thru the piney woods, magnolias, and live oaks
of Pebble Hill Plantation. The ride itself lasted from 10 in the
morning until 2 in the afternoon and covered 11 miles of scenic and
varied terrain. Some individuals also got a glimpse of some plantation
residents - deer, turkey and even alligators in the swamp areas.
A rest stop was planned at the halfway point where riders and mounts could grab some refreshments before heading home for a picnic, which participants brought to enjoy under the oaks.
Judging from the comments, all enjoyed the experience and look forward to another ride thru beautiful Pebble Hill in the future.
