Trail Ride
Our trail ride in early spring and fall is an opportunity to ride through the beautiful piney woods, magnolias, and live oaks of this magnificent plantation. Riders often get a glimpse of some plantation residents - deer, turkey and even alligators in the swamp areas. The ride itself lasts from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon and covers 11 miles of scenic and varied terrain. Don't miss out on this "soon to be favorite tradition" at Pebble Hill.
An entry fee includes hotdogs and cold drink, which you can enjoy under the majestic oaks at trails end. There will also be a planned rest stop midway through the ride so riders and equines can enjoy some refreshments.
The terrain is such that individuals who choose can bring horse and wagon - this event is not just for horse and rider. (PS - we like mules, too.) There is plenty of parking available as well.
The ride will begin at the Pennyworth Barn, which is approximately 1 mile south of Pebble Hill's main entrance gate. All participants will enter at this gate for sign-in and then will be directed to the parking area. Please join us - we look forward to seeing you there.
Please Be Advised - We do require proof of negative Coggins. There will be no exceptions. This must be shown at sign-in.
Volunteers are Welcome!!!
We are always looking for good people to help us with this event. If you wish to volunteer, please call Brenda Singletary at 229-227-5384 or you may email her at bsingletary@pebblehill.com.
